Senegal hails Kuwait help for development

DAHRA, Senegal, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- A senior Senegalese official praised contributions of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to supporting development projects in his country.
In a statement to KUNA late Tuesday, Mayor of the Senegalese city of Dhara Momar Ndiaye said that Kuwait has funded several road construction projects which had an impact on developing agriculture, education, energy sources and infrastructure.
During a meeting with Kuwaiti high school students, currently on a trip to Senegal -- organized by the fund, the official noted that KFAED is currently funding a main road construction project (KD 15 million) to connect central Senegal with the city. He added that 78 percent of the project is completed by now.(end) ns.ag
