Poland's road authority GDDKiA plans to spend PLN 23 billion in 2017, some 40% more than in 2016, Puls Biznesu daily writes citing GDDKiA agenda.

Builder Budimex CEO Dariusz Blocher sees the figure as slightly too optimistic, he said.

Budimex, which realizes some 20% of contracts for GDDKiA, expects its road construction revenues to increase 10-15% in 2017, Blocher said.

GDDKiA plans to launch 396 km of new roads in 2017, or three times as much as in 2016, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily writes, also citing GDDKiA.

Some 85% of the roads opened this year will be express roads.
