The Hammakopp Consortium, the civil and road construction subsidiary of the Obijackson Group, has been named the ‘Labour Friendly Organisation of the Year’ by the organisers of the Niger Delta Achievers’ Merit Award.

A statement on Tuesday said that the award, jointly organised by the Achievers Prestigious Merit Foundation and Newaves Innovation in Port Harcourt last week, validated the company’s commitment to best labour practices.

It said the recognition was a national call for exemplary and credible individuals and corporate organisations that had contributed significantly to the growth and development of the region.

With the Hammakopp Consortium emerging winner in the Labour Friendly Organisation category, the company stated that it had showcased the defining principles that made the Obijackson Group one of the best places to work in the country and the justification for its description as the destination of Nigeria’s most talented professionals.

While receiving the award, the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Ayotunde Ayodeji, said, “This recognition reinforces the recent listing of three Obijackson Group companies, Nestoil, Energy Works Technology and B&Q Dredging by the London Stock Exchange Group in its ‘Companies to Inspire Africa’ report owing to their abilities to generate vital employment opportunities, contribute to sustainable economic growth and status as the bastions of best practices and good corporate governance.
