Solar Integrated Roofing Corporation "Excited and Ready" for California Solar Mandate

POWAY, CA, May 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Solar Integrated Roofing Corporation (OTCPINK:SIRC) CEO, Dave Massey, said the company is “excited and ready” for the recently announced California mandate to require solar power in new homes built, beginning in 2020.

The state is hoping to cut energy use in new homes by more than 50 percent, according to the California Energy Commission. The building energy efficiency standards will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 700,000 metric tons over three years. It would be equivalent to taking 115,000 fossil fuel cars off the road. The initiative is the first in the nation to mandate solar panels for new homes.

“This is welcome legislation not only for saving energy and the environment,” said Massey. “But it is tremendous for business as well. 2020 will be here very quickly, but we are already set up to meet the instant demand this will create. Our history and impeccable reputation for quality and accountability will place us at the top of every builder’s list of solar contractors. We already have relationships with these people and that, coupled with our high ratings on Angie’s List and Home Advisor, position Solar Integrated Roofing Corporation to emerge immediately as the leader in new home solar installations. We are excited and ready!"
